Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hey Hoolo educational chat application (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are a student under the age of majority, your parent or guardian must provide verifiable consent.

1. Educational Use Only

The Service is provided as a learning aid. It is designed to guide, explain, and scaffold — not to complete assignments on a student’s behalf. Responses may contain inaccuracies; users remain responsible for verifying information and for their own academic work.

2. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the Service to cheat, submit others’ work as your own, or request answers to assessments in violation of school policy.
  • Do not submit unlawful, harmful, or private information about others (e.g. another person’s email, SSN, or payment data).
  • Do not attempt to bypass moderation, safety filters, or age-verification controls.
  • Do not misuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service or other users.

3. Age & Parental Consent

The Service applies age-appropriate content filtering and enforces age-verification. For minors, verifiable parental consent may be required before use. Accounts below the minimum enrollment age are denied.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

We retain all rights in the Service and its models. User-submitted content remains yours, but you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing and improving the Service, subject to our retention and deletion policies.

5. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you acknowledge the cookie-consent and data-rights mechanisms described there.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer or data-protection law.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via the deploying organization.

8. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be directed to the deploying school or organization operating the Service.
